Kids want to shout for Mother’s Day

Geraldton Guardian

Students across Geraldton were busy in the classroom making cards and crafts as they get ready to celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend.

The students of St Francis Xavier Primary School’s Year 1 class were so excited, they wanted to shout out a big “Happy Mother’s Day” just a little bit early.

Each student had something a little special planned for their mum this Sunday, while others couldn’t wait to share their favourite things about their mum.

Six-year-old Emily especially wanted to tell her mum she loves when they read her favourite book Thumbelina, while Zak, 5, loves their special walks with Milo the dog.

Even after returning to the classroom, little Zak ran back outside after he remembered one last thing he had to say.

“Don’t forget to tell her that I love her,” he said.

Together with Emily, Zak and the Year 1 class, theGeraldton Guardian wishes all of Geraldton’s mums Happy Mother’s Day.
