King brown snake no match for stormtrooper
The Force was with Stormtrooper Scott Loxley when a snake struck him, but could not pierce his armour.
Mr Loxley, who is walking around Australia for charity, passed through WA last year and was in North Queensland this week when the king brown attacked.
“I have seen loads of dead snakes, I was walking and I came almost parallel with this king brown snake and it lunged out and hit my thigh," he told the Geraldton Guardian from Mackay today.
"I thought, 'You have got to be joking, I have come this far and it has been ruined by a snake'."
“But the stormtrooper armour saved me. I was quite amazed, I’m protected against lightsabres, snakes and Ewoks.
“He had one shot and he blew it."
Mr Loxley has only 4000km to go on his 15,000km journey and has raised about $40,000 for Monash Children’s hospital.
He hopes to raise $100,000.
