A Utakarra man was allegedly drink driving and unlicensed when stopped by police on North West Coastal Highway on Sunday.

The 27-year-old was stopped about 9.30pm for a licence check and preliminary breath test.

Police allege the man tested positive and later registered 0.089 in a breath test analysis at Geraldton Police Station.

He was charged with exceeding 0.08g alcohol and having no authority to drive.

He will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
