A man will face court next week over an alleged car theft from Mt Tarcoola in May this year.

Police allege the 25-year-old found a set of car keys to a white Mitsubishi Magna inside an unlocked car in the driveway.

He then allegedly drove the Magna, which was also parked at the property, to an O'Neill Street, Spalding, address.

The incident happened between May 18 and 19.

The man was charged with car theft on Friday, June 26, and will face Geraldton Magistrate's Court on July 9.
