Man facing drug charges

A man allegedly found lying on the footpath in Beachlands on Saturday morning has been charged with drug offences.

Police say the man was found at the corner of Fitzgerald and Shenton Streets about 10am.

They searched him and allegedly found three drug smoking implements and a black container with about eight grams of cannabis.

A 45-year-old Wembley man has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug and drug paraphernalia.

He will appear before Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
