A man believed to be aged in his late 60s was hospitalised overnight after two cars crashed at Glenfield yesterday.

The accident happened about 4.30pm, near the intersection of North West Coastal Highway and Macedonia Avenue.

According to Main Roads, the southbound lane of the highway was closed for about an hour until the crash scene was cleared.

A St John Ambulance spokesperson said the man, believed to be 69 years old, was suffering abdominal pain.

A hospital spokesman said the man was treated and discharged this morning.
