Police are appealing for information after a man armed with a screwdriver robbed a liquor store in Bluff Point last night.

The man, who had his head and face covered with clothing, confronted the store manager as she was locking up the Chapman Road store about 9pm and demanded she take him inside.

He then demanded money from the tills, threatening to stab the manager if she did not comply.

Police said he took a small amount of cash and a small bottle of spirits and then left.

The man is described as a tall, skinny, dark-skinned and aged in his teens or early 20s.

Police said the manager had been left shaken by the ordeal.

Anyone with information is asked to call Geraldton detectives on 9923 4555 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
