P-plater meth test results awaited

A P-plater is facing possible drug driving charges after she was allegedly stopped for speeding near Dongara.

Police say the 23-year-old, from Perth, was travelling 134km/h in a 110km/h zone on Brand Highway near Mt Adams Road at 10.18pm on Wednesday, September 8.

She allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine after a roadside oral fluid swab and was conveyed to Geraldton Police Station, where a further test was allegedly positive.

She was fined $400 and given three demerit points.

Police say further charges are awaiting test results.
