Police call for help over crash probe
Geraldton police are seeking public assistance in relation to the circumstances of a traffic crash in the CBD earlier this month.
A 57-year-old man was charged over a crash at the intersection of Chapman Road and Forrest Street involving a white Holden Commodore on September 11 about 10pm.
He allegedly fled the vehicle and ran into the secure rear yard of the Geraldton police station, as a police vehicle exited through the open gate, and kicked the rear glass door to the station, causing extensive damage.
It is also alleged he was found in possession of a cannabis.
The details of the crash are unclear and police are encouraging anyone with information to contact the Geraldton police station on 9923 4555.
