Police probe Moonyoonooka burglaries
Geraldton police are calling for the public’s help to identify a potential suspect in relation to a spate of recent burglaries in the Moonyoonooka area.
Graeme Barndon’s farm at Giles Road was burgled on Tuesday evening.
An old farm ute, an air compressor, tools and 140 litres of fuel was stolen.
Mr Barndon spotted a white Toyota Hilux lurking around the area about 4.30pm that afternoon, just hours before the burglary occurred.
He said he wanted to alert people in the area to be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles, in particular a white Toyota Hilux four door ute with a flat tray.
Harrington’s Drilling on Edward Road was also targeted.
Geraldton police confirmed there had been recent reports of burglaries in the Edward Road, Meru, vicinity.
The Burglary Suppression Team is investigating the incidents.
Geraldton police said people should report unusual or suspicious activity to assist them act on the information in a timely manner.
