Police recover body in ocean off Geraldton

A body has been recovered from the water off a Geraldton beach.

Kite surfers reportedly told police they saw the body floating in the water off Point Moore Beach at 4.30pm.

Geraldton Volunteer Marine Rescue Group personnel recovered the man's body.

Police said the man was 49 years old.

Police have not revealed the circumstances surrounding his death.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
