Despite feeling a little worn out from completing the entire 2016 Chevron City to Surf for Activ series, Geraldton’s Janelle Hitchcock would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Ms Hitchcock finished off the final flagship race in Perth at the weekend as part of the Activ All Stars team, becoming the first team living with a disability to complete the series.

As Geraldton’s 2016 ambassador, Ms Hitchcock completed all five races across the State in Karratha, Gerald-ton, Albany, Busselton and Perth.

Ms Hitchcock, who was helped by support worker Marion McDonald, said she was proud of both hers and the team’s efforts.

“I’m feeling good, a bit worn out but really proud of what I achieved and that I did it for the people at Activ,” she said.

“I especially enjoyed meeting all the Activ All Stars and their support people.

“I got to meet lots of different people I wouldn’t have been able to meet before.”

Ms Hitchcock, who works at Activ Business Services Geraldton, began the series in Karratha on July 24.

The team travelled to the four remaining events in the following weeks — the aspect of the series Ms Hitchcock said she would miss the most.

“We have all become really great friends, I’m going to miss seeing them each week and travelling around,” she said.

“Of all the places we went, I really enjoyed the Albany race.

“It was my first time visiting Albany and the town was really nice.”

Ms Hitchcock said she planned to take part in the series next year.
