A Rangeway man is facing multiple charges after police allegedly found a large amount of cash and cannabis following a stop and search over the weekend.

Police say they “had cause” to search the 32-year-old man’s vehicle on Saturday, which allegedly revealed about 80 grams of cannabis and $185 cash.

The man was arrested and further inquiries led police to an address in Rangeway where they allegedly located more cannabis and cash.

In total, police said they seized about 425 grams of cannabis and located nearly $2000 in cash.

The man has been charged with one count of possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell and supply and one count of no authority to drive.

He is due to appear in Geraldton Magistrates Court at a later date.
