Scores of drivers fined in blitz

More than 130 infringements and compliance notices were issued to Geraldton motorists last week as part of a joint operation.

The Mid West Gascoyne Traffic Office and Perth Traffic Enforcement Group stopped 282 vehicles as part of the four-day blitz.

Four vehicles were seized and one motorist was charged with reckless driving.

Police issued 16 speeding and six seat belt infringements, 68 vehicle compliance notices and laid two charges for possession of drugs and drink driving.

Four drivers tested positive for drugs.
