Seize opportunity to hear live music

Rock ‘n’ roll fans are in for a treat as The Seize Tour, featuring up-and-coming Perth musicians, rolls into town this week.

The Transnational Crash and solo artist Noah Skape will play two free shows at The Camel Bar on Friday and Saturday.

Opening the show is Noah Skape, who has spread his talent across numerous Perth bands over the years, including “depresso-pop” group Noah Skape and the Teenage Wasteland.

Skape was the frontman of punk band FAIM for 10 years until the group split in 2014 when their drummer parted ways with them.

He will be without band members for the night, mesmerising the crowd with his dream-like vocals.

The Transnational Crash will round out the night with their groove-heavy, progressive rock sounds.

The five-piece won the City of Bayswater’s Sound Overload Competition in April.

Drummer Shannon Quintal and guitarist Jacob Jackson left the band in June, but their roles were swiftly filled. Grunge band Placid were originally set to play, but have had to pull out because of family illness.

The Seize Tour has stopped at The Civic Hotel and The Carine in Perth, with The Camel Bar rounding out the tour. Noticing all the venues started with the letter C, manager Mark Wallace decided to use that to name the tour — The Seize Tour.

“I know it sounds a bit corny but it really is an accurate reflection of what these guys portray in their shows,” he said. “The audience gets to seize this great opportunity to see these guys together, seize the show and seize the sound.”
