Six GNA teams to hit the road
The Geraldton Netball Association will be well represented at this year’s Member Association Championships with six teams hitting the road.
A total of 54 players, six umpires, six coaches and six team managers will make up the convoy on their way to the Netball WA Perth 2015 Smarter than Smoking Association Championships.
Associations from around the state will join the Geraldton side over the three-day competition commencing Saturday, May 30.
Geraldton will vie for top spots in divisions of under-12s, under-13s, under-14s, under-15s and under-17s contests.
In a first for the Championships, the opening ceremony will be held at Perth Arena prior to the ANZ Championship match between national teams The West Coast Fever and NSW Swifts.
Geraldton Netball Association’s Stacey Heberle said it would be a unique experience for the regional representatives.
Heberle also wished all on the Mid West side the best of luck over the contest.
“The Geraldton Netball Association wishes all athletes, coaches and umpires every success at the 2015 Championships, ” she said.
