A 27-year-old woman from Wandina was arrested yesterday after police found a black stun-gun in her handbag.

A nine-volt battery was allegedly affixed externally to the device.

The stun-gun was seized after police spoke to the woman and searched the handbag at the Rangeway Shopping Centre.

The woman will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court in November charged with possessing a prohibited weapon.
