Young Moresby motorist on drug charges

A 19-year-old Moresby motorist is facing drug charges after police allegedly found cannabis and a smoking implement during a car search today.

Police allege the man was found carrying a small bottle containing cannabis and a smoking implement when stopped on North West Coastal Highway, Bluff Point, soon after midnight.

The man has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug and possessing drug paraphernalia.

He will appear before Geraldton Magistrate's Court at a later date.
