Three Springs have a one game advantage at the top of the ladder in the North Midlands Football League after taking down Carnamah-Perenjori 16.16 (112) to 5.5 (35) in a top of the table clash on Saturday.

The clash between the top sides at Perenjori Sports Pavillion saw the Bombers dominate the contest, putting past five goals in the opening term to the Kangaroos one.

Three Springs did not let up all match, with the side kicking another six goals before half-time to go up 11.5 (71) to 2.3 (15) at the main break.

Reigning premiers Carnamah never seemed to find their rhythm in the match, as the side put through just two goals in the third and one in the final term.

On the road, Three Springs came away with a very convincing 77-point win, putting themselves two points clear on top of the ladder.

Hot on their tail in the chase for the minor premiership is Coorow-Latham, who got up over Dongara on the weekend 13.15 (93) to 9.9 (63).

The Magpies managed to shake off the Eagles after struggling with the side in their first two contests, with the round one match ending in a draw and their round six rematch going the way of Dongara.

Tyler Hupping was the match-winner for the Magpies, kicking six goals while Rhai-Arn Cox had three of his own. Dongara’s Dale Williamson put through four goals in the loss, moving him to first place on the goal scorers tally for the season.

With the win, Coorow job above Carnamah for second on the ladder thanks to their early season draw being the difference.

Over at Morawa, Mingenew got the job done against the home side, coming away with a 16.10 (106) to 10.7 (67) win.

Morawa had the lead early, taking a one goal advantage out of the opening term but Mingenew quickly gained possession and from there it was the Bulldogs match to lose.

The game blew open in the final, with Mingenew putting past six goals to seal a 39-point win.

The pair of Clayton Fowler and Jack Roberts had a day out for the victors, kicking five goals each, while Clayton Dongara and Antoine Garlett each kicked three.

With just four games left of the home and away season, the wins start to add up with teams trying to solidify their finals spot.

Round 12 of the NMFL will see Morawa host Carnamah, Coorow travel to Mingnew and Three Springs going to Dongara.
