Ugle Fabrications La Fiamma fell to a tight loss on the weekend against Noranda City 3-2 in the Amateur League division 3 clash.

After finally ending their home win drought against Subiaco to snap a run of four straight losses, the Reds were hoping to take that momentum on the road against an inconsistent Noranda side.

Still without regulars Lachlan Gray and William Cable, young stars Mathijs Travasso and Ismael Khan travelled down while Hayden Boffey, who has been one of their better players, also came back in.

However, it was Tom Mitic who kept the Reds in the match with a brace after Noranda had taken the early lead.

Noranda’s Justin Sjowron responded with two of his own as coach Keegan Roos rang the changes in the second half bringing in Jadyn Brown and Khan for Salman Safi and Glen Goodwin.

However, despite threatening on the counter Noranda had more of the ball throughout the night and Luke Gambitta edge them ahead with his goal.

The loss leaves the Reds in ninth on 12 points and will face Perth Royals, who sit just one point above them this Saturday.

The Reds’ reserves side was put to the sword as they suffered their biggest loss of the season in a 10-1 thumping in their sixth straight loss, conceding an average of 5.4 goals a game this season.
