IN PICTURES: Western Australian College of Agriculture Narrogin Year 12 students celebrate school ball

Students from the Western Australian College of Agriculture Narrogin brought a touch of country charm to Burswood on Swan where they celebrated their senior school ball. On February 28, Year 12 students gathered for a night of dancing, drinks and awards to commemorate what will be their final school year. The venue was decorated with blossom bouquets and Japanese-inspired gifts in line with the sakura theme chosen by the students, which embodied the cheery blossom tree and its ties to history, culture, identity and the year’s harvest. The awards ceremony crowned Abbey Bruins and Blake Salisbury as the belle and beau of the ball and Ms Bruins then returned to the stage to collect the cutest couple award with her partner Zaide Chession. Mia Schilling and Cole Hammersley were voted as the best dressed for the night and Taylor Gill and Copper Smith received the best dressed invited guests award as decided by students. DJ Diesel Productions had everyone on their feet, including best dancers Zac Camiller, Emma Smith and Zaria Francis. Award winners enjoyed Bliss Photography vouchers, photo frames and chocolates. College principal Clare Roser said the senior ball is a wonderful school event. “The annual ball is always a special time for our students where country and town connect, a great way for all to celebrate our wonderful regional community in style,” she said.
