A stunning eight-goal haul from Narrogin product Edward Graham has steered South Fremantle reserves to a dominant WAFL elimination final victory over Perth at Lane Group Stadium on Saturday.

After starting the season in the reserves, Graham’s stellar form was rewarded with selection into their league side where he played every game from round 12 onwards before rejoining the reserves after the seniors failed to qualify for finals.

With their season on the line, the 20-year-old key forward led the Bulldogs’ charge in their do-or-die clash with the Demons, booting a career-high eight goals when it mattered most.

The 193cm spearhead was everywhere in the front half, gathering 12 disposals and clunking seven marks as the Bulldogs, who featured five Upper Great Southern Football League players, cruised to a 15.7 (97) to 6.12 (48) win.

Boddington duo George Wessels and Jarrod Salmeri were also integral in the victory, Wessels collecting 15 touches and laying eight tackles in the engine room while Salmeri gathered 11 touches in defence and laid six tackles.

Brookton-Pingelly’s Jack Blechynden worked hard in the ruck battle and finished the day with 21 hitouts and nine possessions while Narrogin’s Anton Hanson had a tough outing managing just the one disposal but finishing with 15 hitouts.
