Police are searching for nine men after an alleged violent home invasion, involving three armed with firearms, after they forced entry into a residence, assaulting two occupants before fleeing on foot late last night.

The incident occurred around 10.30pm on Wednesday, on Bower Bird Street in Hinchinbrook.

Police from the Liverpool city police area command were called to the scene following reports of an aggravated break-and-enter.
