Accused thief threw rock at store worker, say police
A boy will face court this morning accused of throwing a large rock at a service station employee after he was allegedly caught stealing chocolates.
The alleged incident happened about 9am yesterday at the United Fuel Station on Rifle Range Road, Rangeway.
Police allege the boy stole $16 worth of chocolates and was confronted by a staff member who asked him to return the items.
The boy then allegedly challenged the employee and threw a large rock at him, cutting the worker's hand.
A 15-year-old Wonthella boy has been charged with aggravated armed robbery and will appear before Geraldton Children's Court this morning.
