Auction to hit the airwaves
The Rotary Club of Geraldton’s Di Gilleland wants more people to become involved in this weekend's Rotary Radio Auction.
Speaking at Spirit 98.1 FM Geraldton, she said the club hoped to increase its bottom line and get more people involved.
“The donations come from far and wide to help the Mid West community,” she said.
“Recently there has been a great demand on the service, so people need charity more than ever.
“Service above self and making a difference is Rotary’s motto.
“Many organisations are requiring assistance — Foodbank, the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Salvation Army.”
The Rotary Radio Auction will be held on Sunday, October 4, from 9am to 3.30pm.
