Police have arrested a 12-year-old boy who allegedly attempted to flood a Rangeway house in February and stole items from another house in the locality in May.

The boy was yesterday charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, one of criminal damage and one of stealing.

It will be alleged the youth, who lives in Rangeway, broke into a house on Kenny Crescent in company with others by smashing a rear sliding door.

The incident happened between February 18 and 20.

Inside, he allegedly smashed several windows and attempted to flood the house by leaving taps running.

Between May 5 and 6, the same boy, in company with others, allegedly broke into an Abelia Street house and stole an electric guitar, a replica sword and a metal detector.
