A 47-year-old Rangeway man has been charged with driving at more than three times the legal blood alcohol limit.

Police stopped the man in his Toyota Hilux Utility for a random breath test on Cypress Street, Rangeway on Sunday.

He was taken to Geraldton Police station, as he was showing signs of intoxication, and underwent a breath analysis test which returned a positive reading of 0.177.

His licence was disqualified immediately and he was charged with driving under the influence.

The man will appear in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on February 26.
