Kalbarri bushfire out of control

Firefighters are battling an out-of-control bushfire at Kalbarri National Park.

The fire is spreading quickly due to hot, north-easterly winds.

Police have closed Ajana-Kalbarri Road between North West Coastal Highway and Kalbarri.

It is believed lighting strikes started the fire.

There is no immediate threat to homes or lives, but emergency services are advising residents to stay alert.
