Landmark sale for charity

This is the charity that sold a home.

The Mid West Charity Begins at Home property, donated by Redink Homes and Geraldton Heights has sold “for a fantastic price” ahead of its scheduled auction this weekend.

“We are extremely excited about the house selling — we are thrilled to pieces, ” charity volunteer Anne-Maree Hopkinson said.

“We would like to thank everyone who visited the house, and who have continued to support us and what we aim to do for the people in our region.

“This means we have more money to help those in financial need and a serious illness in the Mid West.”

In the past, the charity have had to leave eligible grant applicants waiting, due to a lack of funds, but Ms Hopkinson said that was not the case this year.

“People have had to wait until money came through from our big fundraisers but now this means no one has to wait to get help from us, ” she said.

“If anyone knows anyone that fits our criteria go to website and download application.”
