New-look skate park set to reopen

The “new-look” Wonthella skate park will be reopened on Monday, July 20.

As well as the original 700sqm extension, additional works include a complete overlay of the existing concrete surface and additional features, like grind rails, ramps, quarter-pipe runs, banks, ledges and steps.

LED flood lighting will also be installed in place of the original metal halide luminaires, as well as a CCTV security system.

Work on the extension began in April after the City awarded a $680,000 tender to Convic Pty Ltd.
