A Wonthella woman accused of possessing methamphetamines with an estimated street value of $35,000 was today granted bail.

Nicole Peta Noble, 33, was in custody when she appeared in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court charged with possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property, possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of possession of a prohibited drug.

Ms Noble was arrested yesterday following a police raid on a home in Fourth Street, Wonthella.

The court heard police located almost $3000 in cash at the premises, alleged to be unlawfully obtained, and 14.12 grams of methamphetamine in the underwear drawer in her bedroom.

These two charges are indictable offences and will be heard in the District Court.

Ms Noble did not enter pleas to the charges, but indicated there would be pleas of not guilty.

The court heard she is currently on a suspended jail term for possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply, and serving a community based order.

She applied for bail, which the prosecution opposed as it seemed her to be “a significant risk”.

Magistrate Richard Bayly granted Ms Noble bail subject to a surety, a curfew and a residential condition.
