Woman charged over alleged $200 store theft

A 28-year-old woman has been charged after allegedly stealing money from a Geraldton store.

Police allege the woman entered Pure & Divine Beauty at 2pm on Friday, walked behind the counter and stole $200 from the cash draw.

The shop owner allegedly saw the woman take the money, confronted her and asked for the money back.

She returned $70 and left the shop.

A 28-year-old woman will appear before Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on December 4.
