A 25-year-old woman has been fined $3000 for failing to keep adequate control of her two dogs, which attacked people in separate incidents.

Tanika Shahne Cameron appeared in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court last week and pleaded guilty to 12 charges relating to permitting her dogs to be in a public place without a leash, failing to register her dogs or have them microchipped, and owning dogs that attacked a person.

One complainant who rode past Cameron’s Rangeway home on a bike said a dog ran out and bit her shoe.

The dogs, Rocky and Buster, are in the custody of the City of Greater Geraldton and will be put down.
