Countdown is on for Chapman Valley Country Music Festival, with 18 local and travelling musicians in the mix

The countdown is on until a huge line-up of successful local and travelling country musicians head to the Mid West town of Nanson for a three-day country music festival. The Chapman Valley Country Music Festival is back for another year, with more than a dozen artists bringing some of the best country tunes from around the State to the Valley from October 18-20. Playing more than 450 shows worldwide, including Times Square in New York City, Pannawonica’s Codee-Lee will flaunt her deep country roots on the stage and tell stories through song. Connie Kis Andersen is another headline act, and has won multiple awards for songwriting and as an artist. David Kent, who recently appeared at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, country entertainers Eliad & JJ, and this year’s Dusty Boot Award winner Ginger Cox are also travelling to the Mid West. Several other exciting country musicians will also perform, including Terry Bennetts, Sue Munns, Sarah O’Malley, Rogue Pony, Red Ochre, Ray Jones, Kate Hindle, Good Question, Darcy Hay, Alida Sue and Coyote Loco. Treasurer Margaret Pike said the organisers were ecstatic to be bringing the only country music festival north of Perth back to the region for its second year at Chapman Valley. “We’re working with all the community groups, including the football club, the Chapman Valley Show community, the men’s shed — there’s just so many people that we’re working with,” she said. “The country music scene is really going from strength to strength in the Mid West.
