A 33-year-old man found driving at more than five times the legal limit has been suspended from driving for two and a half years.

Nick Nestoridis was driving on Red Bluff Road, Kalbarri, on December 11 when police pulled him over.

Nestoridis had a blood alcohol reading of .255, compared to the legal limit of .05.

Some drinkers become unconscious at .15 and a .35 blood alcohol percentage can be deadly.

He represented himself in the Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Besides the 30-month licence disqualification, he was fined $2500.
