Geraldton Police appeal for help after suspects steal from Utakarra business and set fire to stolen truck

Geraldton Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify suspects who stole a white truck, found burnt out later that morning, and a number of other vehicle keys from a business on Monday morning. Geraldton Police said between 3am and 5am, suspects gained entry to a business on Flores Rd, Utakarra. Suspects forced open a sea container located within the grounds and stole multiple vehicle keys. Police say the suspects loaded stolen items into the truck bed and drove the stolen truck out of the yard. It’s understood the keys to most vehicles on site were stolen and are yet to be recovered. Police later located the truck burnt out in Woorree about 6am. OIC Sen. Sgt Chris Martin said forensic officers were unable to assess the vehicle due to its state and police were yet to identify any suspects.
