Drugs uncovered in towed car: Police
A police search of a vehicle in a Geraldton towing yard located 9.6 grams of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.
The search, about 4.30pm on Friday, resulted in a 46-year-old man from Tarcoola Beach being arrested and charged with possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply.
He will appear in the Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
In an unrelated incident, on Saturday officers attached to the Geraldton liquor enforcement unit spoke with a man who was walking along North West Coastal Highway at Webberton about 12.30am.
They searched him and located 13 clip-seal bags containing cannabis, with a total weight of 19 grams.
A 32-year-old Wonthella man will appear in the Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date charged with possessing a prohibited drug.
