Police have charged four people who they believe are responsible for at least five burglaries across Geraldton.

The charges were laid after officers were called to an attempted break-in at a service station on Chapman Road, Sunset Beach at 11.30pm on Friday.

Police alleged four people were seen entering a car parked nearby.

Police searched the car and allegedly seized cash, alcohol and an iPad mini among other items.

It will be alleged the items were stolen from an unreported burglary of a property in Whitworth Street, Sunset Beach.

A 33 year-old Strathalbyn man, 14 year-old Rangeway boy, 17 year-old Spalding boy and a 14 year-old girl from Drummond Cove have been charged with a number of aggravated burglary and stealing offences.

They will face court later this month.
