Illegal property stash worth thousands

A 23-year-old woman has been found in possession of almost $5000 worth of unlawfully obtained property.

Carra Helen Marie Haynes pleaded guilty to charges of receiving and possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property when she appeared before the Magistrate’s Court at Geraldton yesterday.

Hayes was found in possession of unlawfully obtained property including iPads, an iPod, cameras, a hard drive, a wallet and other sundry items.

Magistrate Donna Webb said she suspected there were drugs involved and it was a very serious offence.

Hayes will be sentenced on February 15.
