A man walking with three females in Beresford early yesterday was attacked and robbed, say police.

Police said the group was in Trigg Street about 12.15am when they were approached from behind by four males, reportedly aged between 15 and 20 years.

In an unprovoked attack, three of them allegedly punched the 18-year-old in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

One of them then allegedly stole the victim's bag and walked off on North West Coastal Highway towards Spalding.

Police described the attackers as dark-skinned.

One was wearing a white singlet and cream and brown baseball cap, and carrying a black backpack.

Another was wearing a black shirt and baseball cap.

A third was wearing a grey singlet and grey baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or Geraldton detectives on 9923 4555.
