VideoNikita Piil suffered serious injuries when her rottweilers attacked at her home in Perth's southern suburbs on Saturday.

A woman who was savagely mauled by her pet Rottweilers has revealed the full impact their absence has had on her after they were euthanised following the horrific attack.

Nikita Piil narrowly escaped death when her two dogs, Harlem and Bronx, mauled her at her home in Success, south of Perth, in September last year.

The 31-year-old’s family later said she was trying to calm her dogs following an incident with a neighbour when she inadvertently became the target of her beloved pets.

She was rushed to the hospital and underwent five life-saving operations to treat severe injuries to her arm, legs and head.

When police arrived after calls for help, they shot and killed Bronx following failed attempts to taser the dog — he was later euthanised.

Harlem, however, was restrained.

Six weeks later, Ms Piil made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him to the City of Cockburn so he could also be put down.

Heartbroken, Ms Pill has never spoken about the tragic events that unfolded that day — until now.

Using her social media accounts to memorialise her dogs, Ms Piil wrote several tributes for them.

“Harlem & Bronx, you made me the proudest Rottweiler Mama on the planet,” Ms Piil wrote in a new update.

“I am nothing without you.”

It comes after she broke her prolonged silence in January, saying she would “never stop loving” the Rottweiler pair.

“My existence is forever altered, irrevocably changed in your absence; I’m broken. Harlem & Bronx,” she wrote.

“No words can aptly capture the torment that engulfs my heart.

“Harlem & Bronx — you made life worth living.”

Neighbour Bryn Spencer described the terrifying events of the day, saying he and another neighbour heard Ms Piil’s screams for about 10 minutes before they intervened.

He said they attempted to stop the attack but couldn’t access her property without endangering themselves.

“I was contemplating jumping the fence and getting in there to rescue her, but obviously there were two rottweilers in there … I would have been ripped apart,” he told the ABC.

“All I could really do was watch this girl get mauled apart while I was smacking the fence with a bat … while (another neighbour) was hosing the dog.”

Mr Spencer said he pleaded with police to shoot the dog.

“I said you need to get your gun out and shoot this dog. It’s going to kill her,” he said.

While he couldn’t stop the attack, he conceded that he did “everything I possibly could”.

“The other Rottweiler was jumping up the fence at me,” he said.

“I kept screaming at it and smacking the fence.”
