Police are investigating a fire at a Geraldton podiatry clinic yesterday.

Officers were called to the clinic at 165 Durlacher Street at 6am after reports of smoke coming from the rear of the property.

On investigation, a fire was located outside in the rear of the premises.

Police said it appeared a bin was set ablaze, which had spread to a nearby vehicle and the building itself.

DFES attended the scene and extinguished the fire.

Police said the fire appeared to be suspicious and WA Police and DFES were investigating.

Police are appealing to any witnesses who may have observed the fire or any suspicious activity around that location leading up to the fire to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
