Police are hunting the person who callously knocked over an elderly man who was trying to board a bus in Osborne Park.

Scarborough Police are appealing for information about the incident which happened on Sunday, May 12.

About 12:50pm, the victim — a 72-year-old man — was trying to board the bus on Hutton Street when the unknown man ran into him and knocked him to the ground.

“The driver of the bus and passengers on board assisted the victim and helped him to his feet. He received cuts and grazes to his arm,” a police spokeswoman said.

Police have released CCTV vision of the incident in an effort to track down the man responsible.

The man police want to speak to is described as between 20-30 years old, has a medium build and short dark brown hair.
