Wanderers’ youngster Ringo McKenna has been selected in the West Australian Cricket Association’s under-15s squad for 2015/16.

McKenna, 15, was a regular fixture in Wanderers’ under-14s and under 17s sides last summer, as well as playing a handful of A-grade games.

The left-arm medium pacer claimed eight A-grade wickets at an average of just 17.00 from his seven matches, while also taking 20 wickets at an average of just 4.05 at under-14s level.

He also dominated with the bat in the 14s side, amassing 387 runs at a mammoth average of 96.75.

The under-15s development squad will undergo a 12-week program, which will enhance players’ skill, fitness and match awareness, led by WACA talent development co-ordinators Rob Wass and Job van Bunge.
