Towns take key win over ladder leaders

CRICKET: Towns have cemented second spot in the Geraldton Bendigo Bank Cricket League with a win over ladder-leaders Sportsmans on Saturday, December 12.

Towns elected to bat and made 160 on a difficult Rec Ground pitch, before Sportsmans struggled in reply to finish at 9/136.

Opener John Elliman top scored with 44 for Towns, while Marcus Tobin was the pick of the bowlers with 3/17.
