Two Leeman men were rescued after their commercial rock lobster boat sunk off the Jurien Bay coast yesterday.

Moonlight Bay experienced engine difficulties and the vessel got stuck on reef before sinking to the ocean floor about two nautical miles offshore near Greenhead at about 9.20am.

A skipper and deckhand, both in their early 30s, deployed a life raft and were rescued by a private vessel.

Both the Jurien Bay Volunteer Marine Rescue and Jurien Bay police attended the scene.
