There will be at least five Australians fighting it out for golf's opening major of 2025 - the Masters at Augusta.

Adam Scott, Jason Day, Cameron Smith, Min Woo Lee and Cameron Davis will travel to Georgia for the sport's most prestigious event from April 10-13.

The tournament takes the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) at the end of the year, and anyone not already invited who's ranked in the top 50 a week before the tournament.

Scott takes his automatic place as the 2013 champion, Smith thanks to his 2022 British Open win and Davis after tieing for 12th at Augusta this year.

Former US Open champion Lucas Glover of the United States qualified on the final day by finishing the year No.50.

Glover won the 2009 US Open was one of 10 new additions to the Masters field confirmed following the final instalment of the OWGR of 2024.

Joining Glover in qualifying on Monday were Tom Kim (21), Nick Dunlap (32), Max Greyserman (35), 2015 PGA Championship winner Day (37), Rasmus Hojgaard (39), Corey Conners (41), Denny McCarthy (44), Justin Rose (46) and Lee (49).

The field featured 89 players in 2024, when Scottie Scheffler won his second green jacket.
