Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe has spent some of his time off celebrating the birthday of a popular Australian sports broadcaster, with the duo part of a group hitting the waves in Indonesia.

Fyfe was part of a group that surfed their way through Indonesia to celebrate the 50th birthday of Mark “Howie” Howard this month.

Howard is best known as part of Fox Sport’s Cricket and AFL coverage, while he is also part of the commentary team at Triple M and hosts the popular podcast The Howie Games.

Fyfe was on the popular podcast in a two-part special released in June of 2020 where they discussed their mutual love of travelling and surfing.

“You and I have struck up a relationship over surfing, (you) gave me some great mail on Costa Rica a few years ago,” Fyfe told the Podcast at the time.

“I am most comfortable when I am with a small group of people who I trust and really not having to explain too much about what I’m doing or why I’m doing it.”

It comes after Fyfe spent time in India earlier this month as part of the off-season where he also surfed, enjoyed the local food and coffee and even got involved in the culture - sharing a video of him dancing.
