WWE has announced Saturday night’s extravaganza at Optus Stadium was the most watched Elimination Chamber event in the company’s history on top of also breaking their attendance record.

More than 52,000 people packed into Optus Stadium for WWE’s first event in Australia since 2018 to shatter the Premium Live Events’s previous record crowd by nearly 20,000.

While WWE didn’t release the final worldwide viewing figures, they proudly trumpeted that Perth had produced the largest viewership both in the stadium and on TV for any Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.

Having already spent weeks publicising Perth on their shows during the build up, WWE continued to give Western Australia extraordinary publicity during their weekly Raw program on Tuesday morning.

The show includes three Elimination Chamber highlights packages which lasted for a total of five minutes and included repeated mentions of Perth and vision of the state.

That followed WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H posting his thanks to WA on his social media platforms.

“Huge thank you to everyone who made the past week possible. From an incredible venue in Optus Stadium, to a warm welcome from Western Australia, to the 52,090 members of the WWE Universe who brought it all to life. #WWE Chamber: Perth was unforgettable,” he wrote.

The West Australian’s masthead banner also appeared on Raw as WWE showcased the amount of media the show garnered.

Australia’s Rhea Ripley headlined Elimination Chamber while locals Grayson Waller and Indi Hartwell also featured.

Waller was rewarded for his efforts in Perth where he hosted the live event on stage on Friday and then pumped up the crowd with his “Grayson Waller Effect” interviews with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins during the Elimination Chamber.

Waller fought Rhodes on Raw’s main event in what was his highest profile match since being elevated to the main roster during 2023. Rhodes is one of the biggest names in the industry and will be in the main event at WrestleMania in April.

His spectacular entry on Saturday night electrified the crowd and showcased Perth to the world as fireworks were launched from the Swan River.
