We’re off Round the World in food, music & words
We’re off round the world in food, music and words.
The next in our series of popular Round the World Dinners is on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Each course has the cuisine, stories and sounds from a different place and we will work again with (amazing) executive chef Costa Simatos and (equally amazing) composer and musician Steve Richter.
Travel Editor Stephen Scourfield writes a scripted story for each place, and with each story there’s a dish with cultural significance to the tale. Steve Richter writes music for each piece, and they are performed live before chef’s food is served.
This is the world on a plate.
And the regions and courses? Well, at this stage they are an exciting secret — chef Costa is busy researching and making a unique menu, with special dishes reflecting local cuisines. And each course will tell the story of a place that can be travelled to with our presenting partners and trusted friends at Intrepid Travel.
They will be tied together by an intriguing narrative, which Stephen will perform on the evening. He is also working with Steve who is composing and compiling and will perform music with each story.
It will be an extraordinary evening – and definitely one not to miss.
Stephen says: “We don’t video or record the evening, because a certain magic happens in the room. You just have to be there, to be part of it.”
